About Missouri Healthy SchoolsMissouri Healthy Schools (MHS) provides students with lifelong advantages built upon early, positive health behaviors that improve conditions for academic achievement. In partnership with school leaders, MHS bolsters health promotion infrastructure, knowledge, and behaviors by:
1. Assisting schools in building a systemic and integrated approach ot address health and education outcomes 2. Providing health and wellness education and targeted training to school professionals 3. Promoting and implementing school-wide policies to support a healthy and safe school community 4. Supporting chronic disease management Research shows that when kids are healthy and safe, they are more able to thrive academically, physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally throughout their lives. MHS is working with schools across Missouri to make this possible for students and school staff every day.
